Sun damage

Excessive sun exposure damages the skin, causing wrinkles, irregular pigmentation and texture, broken blood vessels and worst of all – skin cancer.

Thankfully, advances in dermatologic therapies enables us to treat and in many cases, reverse some degree of prior damage. Although prevention is still the ideal, improvement in skin health and appearance is possible.

Actinic keratoses are rough, scaly patches of skin in areas of excessive sun damage. They signify substantial sun damage and can lead to invasive squamous cell carcinoma.
